I have worked in offices most of my adult life. Most of my coworkers have been female. I'd say 90%.
So that leads to the pictures above. All of these ladies died on September 11th, 2001. The youngest, Christine Hanson, was 2 years old.
That is who the terrorists targeted. That is who they killed. Women and girls. Sure, of the people who died in those attacks that day, there were men. But this memorial. My memorial is for the ladies. The daughters, sisters, wives, girlfriends and grandmothers. But especially, the mothers.
You may remember the recent news of the arrests in Great Britain of some terrorists. This news reminded my mother of something. She has two trips planned too Ireland this year. The news reminded her to book her flight for the first trip.
You see, my mom has bigger balls than all of the terrorists. She has more courage, love, intelligence, and goodness in her than the lot of them.
On a more personal note, I cannot think of 9/11/2001 without crying. I am a 36 year old man. My love of my country is too strong to contain. On my I.D. badge for work, there is an American Flag. And two flags on my truck. The flags are there for all of them.

Wow, you zotted me from SGFL one minute after my comment. That's real friendliness, right there.
