pictures tell lies
A picture may be worth a thousand words but no one said they were honest. I am sitting here, 330am-pathetic, alone, and buzzed, and pissed off. Opposite me is a myriad of photographs i have taken of couples, friends, and family as both projects, studies, and leisure activites. It's funny because the images tell me something totally different than what was truly there. One tells of a loving relationship between my former roommate and his boyfriend. It tells me they are truly happy and nothing can come between them. Yet I know that when I took the picture, they were both cheating on one another constantly. Another picture shows a former lover and I in the middle of our relationship, holding onto one another in attempt to abolish all air between us. From the image you would imagine the most passionate couple ever. We broke up two weeks after the photograph was taken.
I don't know what i'm even trying to say here. I guess i'm embittered by photographs and their false stories. Photographs have a way of glamourizing what's not actually there and tonight, i know not why, i am bothered by this.
