I think Chi, my hybrid, attracts creatures like this smiling dragonfly because they know he's doing the best he can to help save their world. I'm dreaming of the day when we don't drive cars anymore. That might come after WWIII, the nukes and biowarfare, or maybe just after some serendipitous technological revolution... but it's already far too late. Why can't people see what is right in front of them? But that's like asking why can't someone toss his paper into the recycling bin instead of the adjacent trash can. There's no answer besides the incredible extent of human laziness.


On a HAPPIER note: my neighbor's boyfriend just came home and now her dog is squeaking. She gets so excited to see him that she starts sounding like the dog that swallowed the toy in Snatch. And since my pound pup, Cubby, has been getting so much internet play... here's the other baby, Sidley:
