You can catch as many marlin as you like. You can only take home one. Since I was not going to eat the big beautiful motherfucker I caught, I brought to the boat, then released him. He almost beat me; I was just about exhausted as I brought him aboard.
I left my tuna on the boat, as a tip for the captain and two crewmen. They would have sold it to a restaurant. There are several "You Catch It We Cook It" spots, Megan took one of her tune to one of the places, and took her other to a place where they could smoke it and can it.
So, last night, the ladies gorged themselves on tuna, while I ate most of the nachos, and then an entree of carnitas.
The staff all wore t shirts that read "I don't speak English, but I won't laugh at your Spanish." They love the American dollars, though. Much more than their own peso. Though Mexicans and Spaniards cannot communicate. One of my Mexican buddies, talking about working with a Spaniard said "I can't understand a thing he says. He needs to learn English."
You can drink the water here, but you should not. It's called cerveza, people. Paciifico is brewed in Mazatlan, shipped ti Baja on a ferry, and comes to you draft. So you can forget about Corona, Tecaste, and Modelo, even Even Dos XX.
Save water. Drink beer. And shower with a friend.
