Today, Aisha, Serena, Claire and Wendy left. Claire handled the check out, Megan and I are staying until Wednesday, so Aisha did not have to check out. Both rooms are two maximum occupancy, but we had three each. The hotel would not care, since they lose money on the rooms, and make money on gaming, dining, and alcohol. Serena, Wendy, and Claire, all of whom far prefer women, were in one room. Which leaves Aisha, Megan, and myself. I am, as Aisha has said, am "boringly straight." Both of my American football team were on national television today, the the times Super Bowl winners the Baltimore Ravens in the ridiculous game in London, and the three time Super Bowl and two time NFL champions (before there was a Super Bowl) the Washington Redskins. Aisha no longer votes. As soon as she took that position, she stopped voting. I have a friend, a pseudo brother, who went to the Navel Academy. One of his assignments was to register the cadets to vote. Most registered as Republicans. A very few registered as Democrats. Between the two parties, were a sizable minority who claimed that members of military should not vote.
Aisha agrees with that. When she did vote, she always vetoed Republican. She did not really consider the issues. She voted GOP because she found them to be more patriotic. She has said, many times, "I do not really believe in God anymore, bu ti think Him for every second I get to live in America." Do you want to be an American patriot? Live somewhere else.
I was dragged , kicking and screaming, to Oxbridge on the Trent, the University of Nottingham. I, and most of the other Americans there, were miserable. Of course, now I remember only the good time. Drinking with the lads at the dorm pub (every dorm had its own pub, and this should be adopted by American universities), and that women at the university would do your laundry. Add to this. the ladies are very, very impressive and tempting.
The UK is a great place, if you can drink like an Englishman, and leave like an American.
