So, Aisha and I venture into the dance studio on tonight . Aisha had to buy a skirt, but I just need to wear a jacket.
Lots of people getting ready for the various balls, just as we are. After six lessons, we are told, we will be ready to dance at the ball. After that, it is just finishing, and, of course, staying sharp.
This sucks. Dancing is all hard and stuff.
Actually, everyone at the class did all right. We learned a very basic waltz. Now we have two weeks off due to holidays. We meet again early in December. We have to work on turning, and adding twirls, maybe dips. If we perfect the waltz, they might teach us a little tango, enough to fake it. A waltz is all you really need for basic ballroom. One class will be on rock and roll dancing. That makes sense. How can you not dance to AC/DC or Van Halen?
Flight home tomorrow, early enough to be back in front of the television to watch the bloodbath in Canada. Canada kicks ass.
