Getting ready, slowly. for the Republican National Convention. I cannot tell you why I am going. It is just something I do. I am not a delegate. I am just going. Eight years ago, I went with McCain. Four years ago, I went with Romney. This time, I do not know. I did manage to get some funding. Never enough to pay for everything.
So, Megan and I have been saving. Instead of doing things on a shoestring, we will have plenty of money for decent meals.
Yes, Megan is going, too. So that explains it. I am in it for the hand jobs.

Has to be the hand jobs. Or plain old habit? Having the Rodeo Clown (I generally refuse to say his name) as the nominee is about as uninspiring as can be. Unless you're expecting an entertaining fight over rules changes, delegate abstentions and conscience clauses? (What they should do is require the nominee to have been a Republican for a certain period of time, like ten years.)
