One of the great things about a condo is that you have equity, so you can change whatever you like.
I have often wondered why Cortney and Megan chose the room they sleep in, leaving Aisha and I with a jack and jill suite. We look over the vibrants streets of Georgetown, they look over a parking lot. It turns out they did, at first. They did not like the vibrants streets, filled with drunken students. Aisha and I love it. Courtney and Megan suffered with it, while they had their bedroom built.
If you do not know what a jack and jill bedroom is, here is how it works. Two bedrooms, each with a closet. A door opens to a sink. A door beyond that leads to a toilet and shower. Aisha and I use the other bedroom as a sitting room. That is where I am right now, since I keep my computer and phone here.
Courtney and Megan had all their walls knocked out. They got their bedroom a little bit bigger, with two large closets and a huge bathroom. Stone floor, a huge stone bathtub with faucets that come out of the floor. A very large shower, as well, with a tile bench under the shower head to sit on, I suppose. Toilet in it's own little room.
Well, they have added. A sauna, just big enough for four, though I will doubt we will all use it together. Also, a hot tub. We have already been in that. That was fun. The tub can keep the water hot and clean, with just a little bit of chlorine, but we cannot get the water in it. There is no way to fill it. So, we have to fill buckets up with hot water from the tub and pour it into the tub. It does have a drain, right to the waste water, so we drain a little and add water when we need it.
The upshot is that a large, tidy bedroom is now cluttered.
I think the sensual nature of the sauna and hot tub is what made them buy the things. Also, unlike Texas, there is no water problem on the east coast and it is damn cold here, so the warm things are nice.
