Wilmington was cold, so no beach for us. I should have known. Wilmington is always a few degrees colder than Fayetteville. It must be that ocean breeze. Plus the wind makes it feel 10 degrees colder than it really is. We must have brought the cold weather back with us, because it was chilly here today, too.
Ian's hair was getting a little long and people were starting to mistake him for a girl so I took him to get his hair cut. I like the shaggy-hair look on him, so I asked the lady who cut it to just trim it in the front and on the sides and cut it in the back ( it was starting to resemble a mullet a little ). Now he has a bowl cut. No matter how I describe how I want them to cut his hair, he always ends up with a bowl cut or a mullet. Poor kid, at least he's cute so he doesn't have to worry about having a bad hair cut. Maybe if I can find a picture of what I'm talking about it'll help, but some how I doubt it. I just now found a stylist I like. All the rest of them kept giving me the same cut no matter what picture I brought in. It's like most of the stylists around here only know how to do one type of layered cut, one type of kid's cut and, since this is the South- the mullet. Oh well, it'll probably look cuter when his hair grows out. Right now he looks like the Australian kid from the cartoon Kids Next Door .
