I'm back from Charleston. I had so much fun and I haven't felt this relaxed in a really long time. I need to make a habit of getting out of Fayetteville every chance that I get!
First I stopped in Wilmington to see my little sister the night before my jump. We had lunch at a crepery before I headed to Southport. I found this place and my sis now has a new favorite restaurant!
Then the jump:
I headed to Charleston, and stopped every once in a while to check out some of the Coastal towns. I also never realized how large Myrtle Beach was until I drove through it. It took me about an hour to get through Myrtle Beach and it's surrounding tourist traps. Not a big fan of Myrtle Beach!
I saw a lot in Charleston, it really has some of the most beautiful beaches and scenery of any place that I've been on the East Coast. I went to the market downtown, which was a bit touristy, but I picked this up:
I saw dolphins play in the harbor at sunset. Living in Wilmington, I had seen plenty of dolphins, but I've never seen them quite as active and close up in the wild as I did that day. Despite how pale I look, I swear that I was out in the sun all day everyday. I just applied my SPF 50 sunscreen every hour.

I went downtown a lot, and this window display at a women's fashion boutique caught my eye:
On my last night there I wanted to watch the sunset on this little kind of secluded beach I found, but when I got there, there was no beach:
On my last day before I left, I went to Magnolia Gardens and the Audobon swamp. I spent most of the day there, and it is beautiful!
A bunny came up next to me to get a drink of water.
I almost accidently stepped on this guy:
When everything was closed at night and I had to go back to my hotel room, I took a few photos.
Now it's back to working and school all of the time. I had fun and I really need to try to take a vacation at least twice a year.

I'm glad to see you went for the historic side of Charleston!!! It's so beautiful, especially this time of year!!!
Skydiving is on my bucket-list. That being said, how was it?
