Went to a BBC food show last weekend, had a blast with mates getting lots of free samples - especially the booze. I now love Toffoc (toffee flavoured vodka). After the show stayed at my bestest mates who cooked an amazing meal. Still can taste the Basque style tiger prawns. We then watched the Eurovision song contest - I only rated three songs. Finlands Lordi rocked, some lass did a shakira sounding song, and a bunch of lads did one called "we are the winners of eurovision". I cheered every point Lordi got.
Things get better because I have next week off work. Going to spend most of the time putting in paths at my allotment. If its sunny great, if its not I've got waterproofs.
On the way back from the show I saw an advert for Neil Gaiman's latest book, this prompted me to re-read Neverwhere, which then prompted me to buy all his current books. American Gods, Stardust, Smoke and Mirrors, and Anansi Boys. Order arrived from Amazon today along with an allotment gardening book, and the new Nerina Pallot CD. Listening to it now and am realy enjoying it.
So tomorrows FRIDAY, and I break up for a week, better sort out my Last day of work Hawaiian Shirt - Woo Hoo
