egads! day seven is in progress and it seems as if the exdperiment is going well. i've gone on the patch before, & usually the nights are full of vivid dreams, some good, some bad, but this time around i haven't had any "patch dreams" to speak of. maybe they will show up on week #2.
overall it's been an enjoyable week. my clothes would smell way better if i could somehow stay out of bars, but my life is too closely connected to a bar sceneto do that. monday night i was picked up from work by my girl and we hit 90210 and it was amazing. couples as cute as we are are few and far between, and people swoon to see us together at the bar, me with my luciously thick beard and miller lite in a bottle, and she with her merlot in a tumbler with a side of water and those curls that light up the room like the firebombing of dresden. we get way too much attention for just being together, and it's borderline embarassing, but if we inspire others - we'll deal with it. i just like being around this girl too much to express in words.

i am lucky to be traveling next month. i take a plane to baltimore on april 6th and i will see my friends' band decibully play at the ottobar. i will whore myself out to the company that fired me last year on leap year day and endure another three days of cheerleading and make two weeks worth of $$ at my current job in those three days. then i will hop on the amtrak train up to loverly new york city for a few days of wandering aimlessly around manhattan alone with my thoughts and some hanging out with my pal jonny in carrol gardens. then back to the beer city to tell all the barflies about it. good times.
