had a week of sporadic freelance work and minor stress. a few bad things happened here and there, but the good outweighs the bad and i'm surrounded with good vibes for now.
i may never play pool ever again. that's actually probably good for the game of pool. i will concentrate on ping-pong instead, and perhaps move on to shuffleboard bowling at a later date.
i realized last night that i am bored with marijuana. i've been smoking that shit for 10+ years mostly daily with a few dry spells and too-broke periods thrown in for reality's sake. it kills my already nicotene-fragile lungs. i like the idea of getting high, but now i think i'm on a mota break - unless someone bakes me some "special" brownies, that is.
the gloom of rain is a pain. tennis is seemingly unplayable. i'm planless for tonight and i rely so heavily on others for entertainment. one of these days i'll be left behind. please don't let it be tonight, please don't let it be tonight.
saturday we might go to chicago to check out this band "sally" we heard tuesday morning on wmse. i called crawford up so i could find out more, and i found their cd on itunes and bought it immediately on the strength of the one song i heard. pretty good shit. k's car is fixed so we actually have a vehicle that will get us there and back.
today is my ex-wife's birthday. when we were together i managed to ruin the day for her in one way or another. i sent her an e-mail with a picture of me in my natural habitat, the commodore, all drunk looking, raising my glass. "drink one for me" it said on the caption.
i haven't picked up the guitar in a few days. i might get around to writing some music next week sometime. saying "i'm creative" has been a stretch without any output to back up my statement. maybe i'll just finish this journal up and write some shit.
