so i hit a milestone today - my iPod now has over 3,000 songs in it. i had to pick a good one to add as #3,000 - the cars "need you tonight" got the nod because i heard it first thing in the morning.

lots of business is ahead for your friend joey here. i have decided to move into a new apartment. it is actually a storefront adjacent to the commodore bar in bay view. it has beautiful wood floors & two display windows so i can showcase whatever i'd like to area pedestrians. the landlord owns the commodore bar & we talked about it last night and it seems like we're going to pull the trigger on this for march 1st. i hate moving, but i love living in a new place.

tonight jen & i are hitting chi-town for the fiery furnaces show at the empty bottle. we are going to take a night off of drinking and just enjoy the music. mainly so we can be sober to drive back. we'll have a cold beer or three waiting for us at home, of course.

all kinds of weirdness has come out of the woodwork (joey's old girls). christine watched seabiscuit & decided to move to mexico. kathleen got beat up by her husband and decided to (finally) move out with her kids. amber (my ex-wife) and i are talking again as pals. she's on boo-koo pills to keep her head straight. i am the guy they all call to help them through their bullshit. i am the rock of ages and nobody shall fuck with me. i've learned a lot about what it takes to love and in doing so have learned a lot about myself.

but seriously - life is great and i am taking the maximum i can from it right now.
