The fair was fun. The children and I really enjoyed ourselves until the last day when the thunder and lightening brought rain and mud. I've been in bed sick for 2 days now. ugh.

On another note... my mother moved in with us 6 months ago. Her plan was to be closer to her grand kids. She planned to get a job and get a place etc... Well she ran out of money, her car broke down, she got sick, hurt her knee and seem to have lost her drive. She has no where else to go. ***sigh*** She has applied for 4 jobs. I'm confused but non-confrontational. So I sit back and wonder when life will feel normal again. Don't get me wrong, I love my mom. We just aren't friends and we are very different. I left home long long ago (18 years ago) due to our differences in how we see life. My kids seem happy with her around though. I personally think she is too bossy with them. I feel bad for posting this. I think I need to vent a little though. I don't really know what to do or what to say. I do miss the life that I had grown comfortable with. Nothing really seems normal right now.

I would die if my Mom came and stayed like that. The kids would love it but even they are becoming aware of tension between us for the same reason as you stated. (she kicked me out as a teen and is still that same asshat )..but she really does love my kids and tries hard but....

It would help if you knew there was an end date to this thing , eh?

If you ever want to vent, I kinda know what you are feeling and I would love to help in any way...

Miss ya sexy

Years ago, I was in Boston for a Chinese New Years Dim Sum fix.
While walking around takeing in the dragon dancers and fireworks.
I overheard two 2 Boston Italians talking about their exs, and one of 'em
says: "wives may come and go, but mothers are forever ". tongue
And something a friend once told me:
"be thankful that you still have a mother to be upset with".

But like anyother 'room-mate', sit down and set the rules.
Good luck.
