Christmas is not the easist holiday for me.
I shed my first tears of the season a couple of days ago.
I grew up in a home where the holiday was very special.
Since I divorced my first husband, the father of my children, it has always sucked.
My husband now is also divorced so Christmas is complex for him too.
He will go to Kansas for the holidays.
My kids will go to their dads.
I will do what I do.
It's kind of sad really.
I can't figure out how to have a special day with my kids this year.
It'll happen. I know it will. I am just tired of the lonely Christmas thing.
I called my mom and told her she had to come from now on. I hope she does.

Sorry Christmas is so complex. I have a good friend in a similar situation. Her kids are going up North to be with their dad on Christmas and I know she is feeling a little sad. I wish you the best and I hope your mom does come.
