OK the bitchfest is over.
It always happens this way --------> I can start my day really shitty, then I get a reality check. Yes the phone rings and somone is crying on the other end. I hop in my car and head over to discuss heroin and it's hold on a person. I discuss how drug addiction is a powerful demon. I watch her cry and hold her 8 month pregnant belly and say...why why why can't he just be healthy. I tell her that I will make myself more available to her. I tell her I love her and that I am sorry. I tell her about the mess in my house and my stacked dishes and she offers to clean them because she can't pay me. She offers to help me in her lowest time. I declined. I told her not to worry about me. We laughed together about all of the responsiblity that a woman has. Then she cried some more. The snow doesn't help.
on another note... went on a field trip with my second grade son. I made friends with one of the mama's. She told me that my son told her son about sperm and humping. UM OK.....shit!!!!! I just looked at her and said he has a 12 year old brother in middle school. What more could I say.
Ok so then come to find out she is a midwife too. Weird!!!!! She moved her from far away. After our initial excitement we began talking and talking and talking. Oh the poor other mother that was their. I think she was a bit tramatized. Note... this other mother is an aweful witch. She makes everyone uncomfortable. She volunteers more than everyone and judges everyone else openly about not being able to do so. So... watching her squirm was kind of cool. It was totally unintentional but kind of cool. You know what I mean.
She finally throws out something like.. I think the only place baby's should be born is in the hospital. The other mom proceeds to scof at her and tell her that if she could give her the statistics of why this isn't true. um... yes the other mother stomped away. OH MY Goodness. mama drama on a field trip. This is why I typically obstain. It was fun and funny to me though.
OK I have also been watching a microbial conference on video. I know I'm a freak. In the video she said that the #3 killer in the US is infectious disease and it is #1 in the world. She then says that some hospitals have infections that live within their walls that have no cure. No anitibotics will cure some of these infections. So here is my question. Why do people have their babies in the hospital? I know some people need to. I know that they are great for emergencies. I just don't know why people go and expose themselves to not only impersonal care but the posiblitly of catching a deadly infectious disease.
This is MRSA
Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection is caused by Staphylococcus aureus bacteria _ often called "staph." Decades ago, a strain of staph emerged in hospitals that was resistant to the broad-spectrum antibiotics commonly used to treat it. Dubbed methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), it was one of the first germs to outwit all but the most powerful drugs. MRSA infection can be fatal.
Necrotizing fasciitis is a rare bacterial infection that can destroy skin and the soft tissues beneath it, including fat and the tissue covering the muscles (fascia). Because these tissues often die rapidly, a person with necrotizing fasciitis is sometimes said to be infected with "flesh-eating" bacteria. The most common type of bacteria causing necrotizing fasciitis is Streptococcus pyogenes.
When necrotizing fasciitis occurs in the area of the genitals, it is called Fournier gangrene.
Around 30% of those who develop necrotizing fasciitis die from the disease.
Tuberculosis, antibiotic-resistant: A variant of tuberculosis (TB) that is not affected by one or more of the antibiotics normally used to treat it. If the strain of TB is unaffected by more than one medication, it is called multidrug resistant (MDR) TB. A person with any form of drug-resistant TB needs care from a specialist who knows how to use stronger medications. These forms of TB are particularly contagious. Family members and other contacts of diagnosed patients may also need to take medications as a preventive measure.
For real people.. for fucking realsy real.
Bitchfest is over...now I am on a rantfest. That would be..RANTFEST 2008
