Still in Mexico. I am having such a lovely time. It has been really incredible.
I went to the hospital today to register babies and met several Traditional Mexican midwives.
The coolest thing was when one midwife said she could tell I was a midwife by looking at me.
I am totally exhausted at this point and it made me almost break into tears.
Last night the weirdest thing happened last night. I was in a birth and I was told that I someone that knows me was here. OK??? So I go out for a moment and wohhhhh a dear friend of mine that did not even know that I was here stopped by for a visit. We have dont births together in Oregon. So I grabbed her and our other friend and brought them into the casita for the birth. Then I gave them both massages and did some vendosas on them (hot cupping). Then I borrowed a car and drove them to the taxi. What a small world. OK I am in check.
OK now a note on driving in Mexico. WTF!!! It is freakin crazy. OK people drive all over the road fast and crazy. So I was scared to drive for almost 2 weeks. I am over it. I am now back to driving like a drunken teenager. Holy sheeeot. It is really to much.
Other important things about using the el bano in Mexico.... Just in case.
Bring toiltet paper everywhere. Everyone does.
Then do not put it in the toilet. It goes in the waste basket.
Then do not waste water. After you are done in the shower, put water into buckets and use it to flush the toilet later.
Pictures when I get home on Monday.

Yeah when ever we go to Mexico, I let her drive. She is used to it. So much easier than me trying to fit in. Hell I let her talk for me too. My Spanish is not as good as hers.
Can't wait to see the pics.
