What a lovely day today was, except for the hangover I was experiencing. But it passed. Thank goodness.

I started my day off with some yummy Bailey's and coffee oh and some Ibuproifn. Well I actually i drank my little coffees all day. It was a nice a mellow day.



We all went up to some or our friends house for the day. We cooked and cooked.
We had pies and many side dishes and ham and a turducken. Ok so the turducken was quite the investment $$ and totally worth it --> a fun for all poultry adventure. It was a deboned turkey with a duck inside and a hen inside the duck stuffed with creole sausage cornbread stuffing.


Ours looked better than the picture here, but pretty close.

The kids were all confused by this crazy bird. They kept asking what and how over and over again.
I had all kinds of stories to tell them ranging from "there was an old lady who swallowed a fly" to the voodoo magic. The voodoo story was by far my favorite. So after I told them that version anytime they asked I would get all magical and wiggle my fingers at them and give them a stare and laugh really crazy and loud. It was totally fun

Down in Lousiana where the black trees grow
Live a voodoo lady named Marie Laveaux.
She got a black cat tooth and a mojo bone,

She got a bent bony body and stringy hair,

Into the swamp came Handsome Jack.
A no-good man like you all know,
And he was lookin around for Marie Laveaux .
He said, "Marie Laveaux, you lovely witch,
Why dont you gimme a little charm thatll make me rich.
Gimme million dollars, and Ill tell you what Ill do...
This very night Im gonna marry you."
Itll be UMMMMMMMM...
Another man done gone.
So Marie done some magic and she shook a little sand,
Made a million dollars, and she put it in his hand.
Then she giggled and she wiggled and she said, "Hey hey,
Im gettin ready for my wedding day."
But ol Handsome Jack said "Goo-bye Marie.
You too damn ugly for a man like me."
So Marie started shakin, her fangs started gnashin,
Her body started shakin, and her eyes started flashin.
She went GREEEEEEEEEEEE...
Another man done gone.
So if you ever get down where the black tree grow
And meet a voodoo lady named Marie Laveaux,
And if she ever asks you to make her your wife,
Man, you better stay with her for the rest of your life
Or itll be GREEEEEEEEEEEE...

Here is one of the highlights of my week.

I think contortionists are super cool, so I searched them on YouTube. I am still totally blown away that this is what I found. It is totally campy and far out as all hell. You will have to watch the entire thing to really apprecitate it and understand why I like it so much. ENJOY!!!!


Goal for the year ---> Get super limber. I already am, but nothing like this.
