Anxiety vultures are circling my soul
They fly over when I feel weak
Looking down upon me as a try to take each next step
I crawl away to hide from their stare
Knowing that all they want is to consume me
In their eyes they see nothing more than a meal on a pile of bones
I see them gazing upon me as I drag my lifeless body to safety
Hiding in a pile of weeds I sit and hope they will move on

Fearing that they can taste the air and will not leave until I have given in
I can not let them see me
Away away away
Please go away
I can not spare the energy to get away
Their survival is my demise
Please let me be free of this anxiety
Restore my inner peace, my calm
Intentions are clearing and my mind is weary
My heart is sinking in a pool of blood that no longer pumps life
Feed the vultures from another prey
Leave leave leave and let me be
I can not stand
I can not crawl
I can not move
How can this be?
