melting into a sea of stress and sadness
oh where oh where has my little dog gone oh where oh where can he be
in the memories of youth and the wisdom of age
she finds a blank look on an obvious victim of her sarcasm and disrespect
no more time to embrace the happy little thoughts of those first waking moments
the stretch of optimistic youth and the morning dew of a new day
she lives in the moment and the moment isn't always good to her the moment often bites
she is dependable and 15 minutes late everywhere she goes
her plate is full and it drips off it's edges onto her shirt
she wears it on her sleeve the radiant colored sleeve that everyone can see
nothing can brighten this day and she has nothing to fret or to be sad about
the chemicals in her brain trip her up and onto her knees and the knees of kness of the knees
sleep sweet beauty sleeping beautiful one sleep
to awake to a new day a day without the cracked pavement of this mind



she lives in the moment and the moment can bite
it sinks its venom into her and she falls victim to its curse
she screams and yells and crys and trembles and drowns in her pool of sorrow
how can she be free
how can she ever be free
to dance to laugh to run jump and play
she is who she is who she is who she was
when will the window open and let the bats out into the night
and when will the sparrows come back to the barn
and how will the flowers ever grow in the gardens of the future
if she can't let go of the angry little demon that takes her and swings her by a rope
the demon that slams her into love and hate and constant debates
