Cupid's arrow, dipped in poison
Shot back and forth to protect the archer
Inflicting pain saves yourself
We pour hot coals down each other's hearts
For something that was done
I hate you for how you've hurt me
But I love you too much to hurt you back
Or leave you
And so I am stuck
Impaled between love and pain
Unable to let things go
And I struggle on
While you glide and float
On a solid cloud of bliss
And I sit and write my poems
