So my friend Mike came to visit this weekend, which was AWESOME, because he's on his 2 week R&R break from his tour in Iraq, and I haven't seen him since February, and won't see him again for at least another six months. So yay for alive troops!
It was also kind of stressful because of some odd tensions in the air. We'd had a fairly serious thing going until March, when I broke it off because I couldn't wait a year for him (why would you expect an 18-year-old to want to, even for love?) So we disposed of our sexual frustrations together (his 6-month, my 4.5-month, too long for both, clearly), but I realized that it was really a good thing that we broke up. I don't think he's conscious of it, but he can be kind of manipulative. And we both have submissive tendencies (in life, as well as bed), which just doesn't pair well in romantic relationships. So while I got mad stressed at points this weekend, it was overall healthy and cleansing, and I can definitely wholy move on now. If only I could have the same mindset towards the ex-fuck-buddy, I'd be in a great frame of mind for whoever's turn it is next.
