I think there are really two worlds (well, more than that) evolving at all times. One is our personal world, our sphere of influence, the decisions we make, people we love, which we must influence through our BEing. This is the realm in which we must focus on bringing peace and harmony.
The other world, the one taking place outside our sphere of influence, is no less real. Oftentimes this world shapes and influences the more personal, intimate world in very real ways. This world consists of "powers and principalities," global and national events, and the workings of governments and power players.
This is our world as much as anyone else's. It is both wise and righteous to be informed, to care, to give aid in whatever way possible. To care about what's good, right, and true and to try to influence the macrosphere for the benefit of love is our responsibility. If we can balance the harmony and love we cultivate in our personal lives with responsible, educated citizenship, think of the influence we can have in making the world a better place!
