So here we go...
DreamMaker and I are off to get hitched on Saturday.
Nothing is going to change about our relationship, he will always be my best friend and partner, the same way he has been since we met two years ago. It's just that "commitment" is such a strange thing for me.
The idea of me commiting makes me smile for so many reasons. Mostly because I used to be the girl who had more than one, one night stand a week. My motto was "I'm young, I should be having fun, making mistakes, learning lessons... not wasting my time with one person". In fact, that is partially how we met. We both happened to be at the same "swingers" club on the same night.
That motto is actually why we are doing our ceremony in the way that we are, a year at a time.
I am still young and making mistakes, and I need to have room to grow. I just never imagined that I would find a person who wanted to be a part of my life in the way that he is.
I am nervous and excited and a little terrified. But I know that we will make it magical by just being together.
I have to go write vows now...
