Well, my left arm and only my left arm is sun burned due to a fantastic drivers tan I got going from doing errands and stuff today. In exchange for my sunburn I got my room painted today and tomorrow I will be working on the floors so hopefully by tomorrow night or monday I can have all my stuff moved in and I will officially live in Ewa Beach. Still tons of stuff to do after that but atleast I can put an end to manual labor. We painted the walls green and will be doing a black and green or black and purple checker board floor. Can't seem to decide what style of art I want to hang on the walls though.
Any who, as my camera will be charged by the time I must start my journey to Ewa Beach tomorrow, there should be pictures for the next time I post. I'm a little bumbed that we ended up working till after the sun went down, we were gonna hit the beach in the afternoon to cool off....which would have been nice as it was oppressively hot today.
Still need to find time for school work....keep telling myself I need to get stuff done...thing is...which is more important? School or a place to live? Hmmmm....priorities are a bitch I tell you. Also have to make the time to dig down deep into my Puerto Rican roots and cook some food for Spanish class tomorrow. I'm thinking tembleque (hispanic haupia/coconut pudding) but trying to make pasteles (puerto rican tamales) or gondule rice sounds neat too. I mean it's the first time in class where I can sort of show off my heritage outside of having good pronunciation of spanish words. Any who, I must away to Walmart for more building supplies...more to follow tomorrow hopefully with pictures and junk!
