So we went to Harrah's casino in Chester, PA last night for my wifes B'Day..

What a freaking nightmare, and a dump..

For those who've never been there we went late last night left around 8.30 for the drive, which is around 100+ miles, following Map quest directions., ended up in god awful gangster land.. If Philly/ Chester African American population on 9th Street could have been more of a 70's bad movie set of drugs and gangs I don't know how so.. We finally landed at the casino 3.5 hours later after ending up in NJ.. Thanks Mapques !!

Now let me preface and say we are spoiled as Delware Park, Dover Downs, and WVA are all within an hour half drive from us and are pretty nice. This casino was a like a gigantic warehouse with 2275 machines slammed into a little space.. Horrible food, Horrible bathrooms, and tons of penny and nickel machines, which of course brings out all the addicts and blue hairs..

So in essence we stayed for 1.5 for a 5 hour drive.. Lesson learned I guess.. Ed Rendell reallly needed to think about casino placement better for this state, because frankly I feel sorry for out of town folks who I'm sure first impression of Philly/ Chester was pure horror..
