Normally I make this moment in history type blogs.

We all know what happened on this day 7 years ago. I can't really put up anything right now no vids no memorials. We're in the midst of a war and a horrible economic event. As well as a presidential campaign that really isn't talking about fixing many of the important issues we have. Whether they pull out of Iraq or they stay 100 years the fact is that the country needs a complete turn around. Jobs are disappearing, every one of my SG friends are struggling, selling prints asking if places are hiring out here. People are disenfranchised about this country. I'm looking at the candidates and don't really see much of something to look forward too. Dems can change things but not all things, replacing one challenge for another. I'm done, and like the campaign I'm sure I didn't say anything tongue

On this day remember the ones that died that day and the ones we lost since that day.

If you can, tell me where you were that day...

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
I was asleep my mom told me that a plane had hit the WTC and I assumed as everyone else had that it was a tiny plane. I said to myself that I feel for the one or two people who would have died and was going back to sleep. Back then Howard Stern was on terestrial radio and was broadcasting in New York of course and I had the show on I heard them say that the building had been hit by a big plane and that they were still live and the show kept going on as they documented it from the radio station. Getting calls from other regulars as well as new yorkers... It was crazy, I still had to work too... So I went in and about 12 we all headed for the closest bar and drank and spoke our war speech... Something that seems odd now ha ha

Charm came out with a new set, she to me is one of the original SG's that made me take up an account here. There are like 8 maybe 9 more and when they release sets you'll hear about them as well. Charm's sets never disappoint and she's just a natural beautiful girl. Basically what I say about her now I could put in her comment. If fact maybe I will wink

Everyone should love Tina Fey. She is adorable.

When 9/11 happened, I was driving to my Tai Chi class in my first year of University. I heard Rick Dees on the radio talking about how the second plane had just hit the second tower, and I thought it was a joke. And then I thought it was a really unfunny, fucked up joke. And then I called my Dad and he told me what was happening. And then I went to Tai Chi class and my teacher, who hadn't seen a TV or anything that morning, held class just like normal, and I went home and was glued to the TV for 2 days.

I know this is like a day late whatever... but I thought I'd put in my small piece.

I was on the road trip of my life with my 2 best friends. I was fresh out of high school, 19, and learning how real reality is. We were camped out in a tent in one of my friend's parents' backyard in Oregon. His dad opened the tent and woke up my friend and told him the WTC was hit. I honestly didn't even know what the WTC was blush. My friend got up immediately and I just kinda sat there confused, asking my other friend what was going on. We decided to get up and go inside and watch the news with the rest of our friend's family. I watched the second building get hit and go down live on tv. It was surreal. I was so naive, I didn't have a clue as to how this would impact the country... and even the world. But I remember the awful feeling of disgust I had and I'll never forget how it changed my life to be where I was when it happened.

I guess it's now one of those things for my/our generation... like "where were you when 9/11 went down?" just like for our parents, it's "where were you when Kennedy got shot?"
