Well, I've neglected this blog thing for a while, mostly because I've been deep under a pile of work shit. But good news! I'm now free of the yoke of corporate oppression!
The bad news? I'm free of the yoke of corporate oppression.
So, now it's time to go freelance again. Fortunately, I've been a freelance journalist before, and I have some folks who are guaranteeing me work -- like the ones who just laid me off. But really, having the opportunity to not have to think about the stuff I had been writing about every day is as much of a relief as the lack of health insurance, a steady paycheck and all that are a worry.
Plus, there's more time for the guitar, the camera, the world...
The adrenaline of waking up every day knowing your destiny and survival is in your own hands is the most powerful drug there is.
