I'm a bad, bad SGer, I know. I haven't been updating, or spending much time here this week.
I'm getting set to go home to Wisconsin for the holidays, unexpectedly might I add. What can I say? 2000 miles and multiple levels of technological avoidance were no match for good old-fashioned Catholic guilt. My Mom is amazing ( & actually quite evil).
Oh well, White Christmas it is.
I've been picking up hours at the night gig to make the money to pay for this. Tonight should be the key. The boss is keeping the place open for a private party (we usually close at 10) until bar time. It's a private holiday party for the restaurant/bar down the street. The whole staff. It's just me & 1 busser who doesn't speak much english. Should be entertaining, but the money should be good. No one tips better than bartenders when they're drinking.
I'm watching the Packer game & realizing that I have been in Southern California so long that I have no comprehension of -3 degrees. I'm going to freeze my butt off.
I wish I had made it out to Fantasmic this week. I love Disneyland at Christmas-time. It may have even got me in the mood. I'm just not feeling it this year, I don't know why. I forced myself to listen to my favorite holiday CD the other night. I was cracking up at Christmas Wrapping & just plain cranky after the Nat King Cole. I think this is as Christmas-sy as I'm going to get.
I'm taking the laptop with, & should have access at my Dads house, so maybe I'll have some snow photos to share with y'all next week.
So....What's up for New Years?
Edited to add: Darius just committed one of the cheapest shots I have ever seen in football. Boo on him, boo on a team that would have him. Bring on the fines!
