I made a mistake...

I made a serious mistake! I actually thought this site was about expressing and sharing and pushing the envelope alongside people that actually get you and understand that sometimes it's good to think outside the box.
I made the mistake of actually doing something nice and sharing something intimate, artistic, joyful and playful, but in the end I simply came to one conclusion...

This site has changed...

I made the mistake of posting the shoot I took of Dee on the Hopefuls group. Nothing to it, no ulterior motives, not harmful intentions... I simply thought it was a cute set and I wanted to share it with other people and get some thoughts and comments on it. Well, by their reactions you'd think I showed them a snuff film!!!
Granted, I now realize it was a mistake to post it on that group (they made more than sure I would understand that fact!!), and I did get some constructive criticism and some nice comments, but most of them were more worried about the fact that she didn't have a page here, and we even had our integrity and honesty questioned.
I made perfectly clear that that wasn't a official set, or a hopeful submission, I simply wanted to share some good pictures I took of my girl and they simply make me feel like I did a cardinal sin.

I was talking to a dear friend I have here to which is the reason I even bothered posting the set to begin with simply because we're in the photography scene and we love seeing each others work and she made a very good point... this site has become a popularity contest where all that matters is Second Chance Sundays, Rejected sets, Hopefuls and being pink, and somewhere along the line the site became saturated with members who are only looking out for their own interests and just looking around to step on the toes of anyone they think is a threat. And watch out guys, don't break the rules or make a mistake!!! Or they'll make you feel like the classroom retard and put the dunce cap on your head!
Needless to say I took down the gallery and simply kept it on my own page to share with my friends. I'm about to put it for "friends only", so if you wanna enjoy it, nows your last chance.

It's sad to see that this site has become a second chance at being prom queen for people that obviously never would have been prom queen and there acting just as bad or worst as the people the rebel against!

I'm so disappointed...
