I've never lived anywhere but Minneapolis. But my favorite place I have ever visited is Santa Fe. Beautiful, nice weather, lots of artists, cool architecture and nice people. When i move out on my own I may go there.

No insurance sucks. I don't have it either. I hope you can be happy and find something fun to keep you occupied!! Vintage movies are always a good way to feel better. I recommend Labyrinth, Fraggle Rock, and The Care Bears movie if you want to watch good kids stuff!
