To be able to afford an apartment, food on the table, child care, and bills.. I have to quit school and get 2 jobs. And even then I'll be negative each month.
The state won't give me cash assistance, housing assistance, or welfare. My current job won't give me more then 14 hours a week, yet that still makes enough money to not qualify for aid.
BUT! If I was suddenly to lose my job, use up my savings, and be evicted.. then NJ state would find me a cot in a womans shelter, and find me a crappy minimum wage job so I could learn "job and career skills".
I need to move out of NJ.
But.. on the bright side.. my kid is cute!
