It's nice that the weather has calmed a bit and the air smells SO fresh...
Yesterday was the one-year anniversary of the day I was fired from a five and a half-year management job... fired by means of a poorly timed, inappropriately executed screaming match with my drunken boss at a popular bar following a ball game...
go figure...
Coincidentally, yesterday, the co-owner of the same establishment called me. He is splitting up the business with the loser that fired me and he wants me to advise him in the setting up and running of his new place. Which may lead to me, if I accept it, actually running the place...
Wow. How flattering! I'm very interested in this opportunity as this person was awesome to work with and a genuinely great human-being.
Other than that, the job hunt continues... no strong leads, however there are not a lot of opportunities that I am attracted to...
Tonight, I'll be at Wrigley watching the Cubbies (win?) and then taking it easy, as it was a wild weekend... and the rest of the week should prove to be no different.

On the upside it sounds like the putting off of the job thing has thrown a great opportunity in your lap. Even if it does not pan out ot be a long term gig it coudl be just whatyou need to 'fill the gap' until finding a long term position that you like.
