I know it's been a long time since I updated my journal.
I've been holding out on you kids... and I'm sorry. For a lot of SG's, you already know how my summer has been turning out. First, it's HOT. No, IT'S FUCKING HOTT and humid as hell in Chicago. I finally broke down and bought a second window AC unit for my apartment and I must say, While it is better.... It's just fucking HOT!!!
I've been out and about a lot, so at least I'm not pent up in my steamy little place. I had a blast at the Meet n' Greet this past Friday and sincerely enjoyed talking to everyone. (If I didn't actually meet you, drop me a line because I'd still love to chat before the next event.)
As for my career hunt, let's just say its on hiatus for now until I decide what I WANT to do. My last six years have been in management and while it was great for me in so many ways, I'm not sure if that's where I want ot go or if I need to steer my ship elsewhere. If I do travel into uncharted territories, then I'll need a gameplan first. That part of my life is still up in the air.
Since the attempted break-in last week, I am feeling much better, but I have found myself to be a bit more paranoid. Little sounds around the house have startled me, especially when I'm in the shower or just about to fall asleep. I'm sure with time... I will get over it.
Otherwise, I'm having a blast this summer meeting new people, catching up with old friends, going to concerts, dipping into pools, tending to my garden, partying at street festivals, and just taking in the sunshine before the magic of warm weather departs yet again.
