Final crit tomorrow... then I'm officially finished. Though, the ceremony isn't until one week later. I'm working in a bar one night a week. It's okay, but the median clientele age is roughly 35. Not looking like I can afford the studio I was hoping for... bummer. Started some new drawings. My best friend is coming into town from Washington in a little under a...

So I'm single again. It was my decision, but it still feels pretty crappy. It's so frustrating putting so much time and work into something just to realize that it doesn't matter how much time and work you put into it because of underlying problems that just don't go away. At some point it seems as if being in a relationship shouldn't be quite so...

Congrats on your thesis exhibition! I really wanted to make it over and see it, but they are absolutely killing me at work and I couldn't break away. So, it seems as if I'm in much the same situation as you - making a decent amount of money (for once) making other people's art happen, but not getting to do much of my own. Lame.

Sorry to hear about the girlfriend and being hit by a car again. I'm currently looking for a bike, but as I haven't ridden one in a decade or so, I feel like a total dunce in the bike shop. As for the relationship, I've never been in one that hasn't been a lot of work.

Good luck with the upcoming move! (You have my sympathies...)

Oh yeah, seen this yet?

So the show's up and the reception was great! Thanks to everyone that showed up, and if you didn't, you have two more days to see it. We went through something like 120 bottles of wine and an equally absurd amount of beer in a little over two hours and then finished off the night at some of the sweet bars in the Brigham Circle...

I just got back from interviews and I saw my new place out in East Oakland.
It's so trippy that I'm going to be there permanently in less than 2 weeks. I will definitely keep you updated and issue hugs to the persons of your choice smile

Shit. That sucks, man.

I'm definitely still digging the new Akercocke. I ordered that and Decapitated's "Organic Hallucinosis" at the same time and both have been on near-constant rotation since they arrived. However, for the past 24 hours, I've been listening to something far geekier: Metroid Metal.

Happy new year to all, albeit a little late. I hope everyone had enjoyable celebrations and got to spend time with people they care about. My west coast trip was a good time, caught up with a ton of people that I hadn't seen in a year and hang out with some of my closest friends and family. It was also nice to reconnect with...

Happy New Year! Glad your trip was a good one. And happy belated birthday! I just ordered the new Akercocke on Sunday - now I really can't wait for it to get here. Your friends band is pretty badass, too (listening as I type). That's one of your logos, no?

I decided to turn down the job at the Guggenheim. It was a hard decision, but, I moved to Boston to go to school so that's what I'm going to do while I'm here. When I explained my position to them they understood and said to contact them when I got to NYC, so it should work out eventually.

Final reviews are done for this...

Thank you for the set comment -- and I'm glad you liked the artwork too! smile

It's looking like I have that job at the Guggenheim. It more or less depends on my ability to fit a school shedule in Boston together with a work schedule in New York and excel at both of them. More when I get it figured out, I guess. Crazy shit.

Congrats. I would've bought you a drink if I'd known we were celebrating.

Trying to find time for work and school is hard, and excelling at both even harder! But a good challenge is good for you! Good luck!!

i know i seem like such a loser for making a plan and then having to cancel however today one of my new kittens went into ICU and it's horrifying.....hubby and i have been so upset all day and well... due to this...i am canceling the party....i can't afford to buy all the stuff i promised now because this medical bill is going to be at least 1,000 bucks by monday...and thats hoping that she pulls through by monday....so i'm sorry once again for looking like an asshole but seriously my babies come before any party. please just be cool about it and wish us luck on a safe and speedy recovery for our little muffin kitty. and hopefully our other kitten won't catch whatever the other one has however there is a huge chance that she will too...
i was honestly looking forward to this so much...but all i can't think about is my kitties health... i'm also selling my Accoustic Electric Bass in black that i bought about a year and a half ago for $350 and have played it about 3 times before i came down with the Carpal Tunnel and shit...i would like to sell it for $250 i am also selling my Peavey Bass Combo Amp that i got about 6 years ago at daddys junky music for $600 that i would like to sell for $350 it's almost like new i'm just missing a washer and bolt on the input jack...i also have since put on detactable wheels... Graham is selling his Peavey PA system which includes the power mixer and 2 ,15" speakers for $500 cash it's like new and only been used for a few practices but we take great care of our music products.
so if you or someone you know is in the market...please let them and myself know... we need to raise as much money as we can.... this kitten is totally worth the money and then some... i just cannot let the MSPCA okay for her to be put down.
