I think of the entire Northwest as my home, but I grew up in Spokane, WA.

Here's some stuff I made:

Infernal Eternal, 20" x 22", Studio Shot

53" x 84"

Sorry about the cropping, if you're interested they're in the art folder.

If you live in the Brooklyn/Manhattan area and you make art and you want to trade studio visits and input, hit me up. I'd love to see other people's studios and work and talk about making art and what we're doing.

In other news, my friend from the west coast headed home but the one from the bay may be moving to Brooklyn if she can convince her BF. That would be beyond awesome as they're one of the biggest reasons I'd entertained the idea of moving to Oakland.

Hm. I was out shopping for boots yesterday and accidentally ended up in a boutique in SoHo where they sell hand made Italian shoes. It wasn't an accident that I walked in, but had I understood where I was it wouldn't have happened. I tried on one pair of shoes and instantly knew that there was nothing I could justify spending the money on, but felt like I should keep trying on other pairs so the attractive woman with an accent didn't feel that I was intentionally wasting her time. I know it doesn't make sense. I ended up putting on a little over a thousand dollars in shoes in under ten minutes and then didn't buy anything. So it goes.

More people down from Boston this weekend and it's looking as if I'll be in show up there in December, so I hope to be able to make it up for the reception and to see a bunch of you fine folks while there.

Also, though it's a ways off, I will be at MDF VII. Holy shit what a line up.

I spoke with mom yesterday and was happy to hear that she and my dad are voting for Obama Tuesday. She said three or four times that the Republicans have done a good job of ruining the country over the past eight years which are pretty strong words for my mom... I really hope the majority of the American public feel the same way. That Obama sign I made is (obviously) red, white, and blue and I have to admit that I felt as if I was losing one of the last little bits of punk that I had left over in me when I did it. I think the teenage me might be pretty pissed at late 20s me, but whatever. So get out there and vote! It's important.

Addendum:

Oh yeah! Halloween! It actually wasn't all that eventful, though did provide an anecdote that some might find amusing. Two friends and I went out party hopping around Brooklyn, got bored, and after some deliberation, ended up at a bar in my neighborhood. I ended up talking to a girl and my friends took off. After conversation and drinks, the two of us went back to her place and got naked. Then, strangely enough and seemingly out of nowhere she said that she wanted to get to know me better and that she could tell that I had a wall up and was keeping her at a distance. This was true. This was because she was a stranger from a bar, and because I don't take it upon myself to share the intricacies of my life with people I don't know well (the exception being what you're reading now). Then she started talking to me about her ex-boyfriend. This was equally perplexing to me. After a period of strained and weird conversation, she decided to get up and get some water, so I decided to get up and get dressed. Since she had mentioned enjoying horror films earlier on I recommended The Beyond and The Wickerman, and then I walked home at 4:30am. So, that was my night of evil hedonism, how was yours?
