I've been curious about obtaining a grant to help preserve the library of newspaper archives I'm the sole librarian of at work. I figured it wouldn't be hard to find some historical funding, but every relevant grant I come across is only eligible to non-profit organizations. Our paper is for-profit, and not a small business, either; it's rather large and over 200 years old. I can't imagine letting all those clippings just fall apart, which they will, given another 20 years.

What would you do? I really want to find something, but I feel overwhelmed.
