I'm back!
I spent the last week without electricity, due to having gas heat, which is so expensive right now that I couldn't afford to pay. A surly fellow came and shut off my electricity. They turned it back on late Friday, after I paid a ton of stupid fees.
It was mostly inconvenient and frustrating, but it was also sort of nice not to be able to use the computer. I washed each morning by boiling water on the stove, pouring it in a bucket, putting the bucket in the bathtub and strapping on a headlamp. I slept a lot and did a lot of flashlight reading.
But now, behold, there is light, and I see that it is good.

I was at burning man this past august. The camp next to us was blasting awful pop music most of the night and day. Then, all of a sudden, on comes that bizarre tuba-driven song of yours from the video.
It made me want to dance around like an idiot.
