I feel sleepy but being in a different house makes it hard to go to bed... although Goontastic came over tonight and brought me a new Viking book! Ooh, I should get in bed and read that. Mmm.

We also watched Angel Heart, which I had never seen. It was a very beautiful movie. It made me think about New Orleans a lot. For a while last year I was contemplating moving there to be a with a fellow, although (gladly, in retrospect) it never came to fruition. But I love that city. The heat, the moisture, the peeling paint and mossy brick... mmm. I miss it. There was something very other-wordly about it that I've felt in only a few other places, like in the tiny sidestreet walk-up apartments friends lived in in Manhattan. For some reason they just felt so secluded, so... away from everything that I could have been anywhere, or anyone.

I have off tomorrow, hooray!

P.S.: I couldn't sleep so much that I sat on SG for hours. I made a lot of friend requests. If I sent one to you, I promise I'm not a serial killer.
