I will dream about the house i grew up in for the rest of my life.

Last night my mother and father were there with me, we were sneaking in for a visit while the present-day residents were at work. In back there was a brick building (only in the dream) that had been used as a bakery for bread. It had arched doorways and a brick oven and a wall lined with small nooks for the bread to rest and cool in.

Another room appeared, off to the side, with a stone floor. A table sat in the middle of the room, and there was a basket on top. When I peered into the basket, i saw it was filled with nesting chickens. I reached in and felt around under the soft down, and pulled out three eggs. They were large and light brown. Two were warm and solid; the other was defective: soft and squishy, like a reptile egg. I showed them to my parents, who nodded their approval, and then put them in my bag. Later I saw that the defective egg had split open, spilling out thick yellow yolk.
