I still have two more finals left until I will officially be on winter break. I can not wait for a break from school and studying! I still don't know what exactly I'll be doing on my break, I like to plan things and have a set agenda, but I do know I will be sleeping as late as I can.
The weather, to me, is still awesome. it's been a beautiful 70-80 degree days, although today is very gloomy and may bring some cold weather (yuck!). I do really enjoy gloomy days like this when I'm at home, it's just perfect snuggle and watch a movie kind of weather. which to be quite honest, is almost any day at home for me, I love to watch movies.
I'm really trying to think of ways to occupy my time while I'm on break. I did start making wands with some sticks from my front yard! I won't say who my secret santa is but I did make her a nice wand for her present, and I really hope she likes it. I'm sure I will have a wand factory in our kitchen by the end of the week.
One of the things I'd really like to do is go see the Doctor Who Christmas special!! I've been speculating about what happens between river and the doctor, and I just can not wait to see it. I've been a very bad whovian this season and haven't been able to catch up, our cable company doesn't include bbc and I haven't found any way to stream the episodes. :( bad whovian! Another thing that I'd like to do is hangout with my friends more, I feel like I've abandoned them since school started. We still text every now and then but we haven't been able to hangout which really sucks. My girlfriend and I want to try and throw a spiked hot chocolate party with some close friends to close out my fall semester. I really hope @fresa can make it so we can meet, I know they are moving down to Louisiana soon so hopefully we can meet up! fingers crossed the timing works ;)
so for the holidays we usually spend Xmas eve with my mom and her fiancée. especially this year since he has been sick. he spent a good few months in the hospital and I've been trying to be more present in their lives. (I've tended to be a hermit since I started school. I don't mean to do that, I just end up focusing all of my time on school. great for my gpa which is a 3.5, but bad for my social life). Xmas morning we usually spend alone drinking coffee and enjoying each other. we honestly don't celebrate Xmas per se, our families do but we tend to lean more to the non religious winter celebration than Xmas. but in the afternoon we spend Xmas night with my girlfriend's family. Nothing too crazy or hectic, just visiting with family!
good news about my hosting job, my manager finally said I should be moving up soon! which is great because I am starting to dislike hosting. if you've ever hosted in a restaurant you know my struggles. so hopefully by spring break I'll be a server, which I think will make me more money than hosting! which will also mean I will have money to shoot a new set! yay! money! haha
So that's my life right now basically! do yall have any holiday/break plans?
