one would think after growing up in pgh. and living in boston and n.y.c. that the ten years in dallas wouldn't have ruined me for winter, and in a way it didn't as i am not bothered by cold, but the last few bleak-ass months find me missing sunlight more and more....or perhaps i too share in the soul-crushing malaise as humanity faces life without "Friends"

i would love to hear what you think about hardcore. my biggest questions are, what distinguishes hardcore from other types of punk, and what is the deal with the newer-seeming hardcore scene.
