Well this morning i had a rude awakening... my mother came into to wake me up after reading the newspaper... aparently 3 men died that are working for the company that my father is working for in Iraq... luckley he also called this morning so we know that he is safe... but the thing is that these bombings are happening closer and closer to where he is... i'm getting a little scared and shaken over this... but there really is nothing i can do but support him everytime i get the chance to talk to him...

This then leads me to a different thing... i need some help... but this help won't be needed for a little while...

Are any of you writers or looking to go into writing... what i'm thinking about doing is having someone help ghost write my fathers biography... it's going to be called something like "Story of an Unsung American Hero" working title ofcoarse... before anyone says... well how do we know he's worth writing about... well let me list a little about him...

At 18 he volunteered for the Marines knowing that he was going to go to Vietnam...
Ended up as Marine Recon on the front line and extracted downed piolets...
Went back for another tour in Vietnam doing the same even though his duty was up...
Came home and tried to finish school but ended up going into the Detroit Police Department...
Worked for DPD for 28 years (actually retired with 32 on the books since he almost never took a sick day in the entire 28 years)
While he was there he was on pretty much every task force and ended up being union leader...
Retired in 98 and took only about a year off...
He has since worked as a Privite Investigator, an Armed Currier for some businesses, and Chartered Airplane Security...
He has now accepted a job training police officers in Iraq and has put himself again in harms way...

I hope that gives some justice in a few sentences to his life thus far... i really do believe that he is a great man and people would like to hear his story... if anyone would like to help i would appreciate it alot since i can't write for shit... and i'm sure there will be some great compensation for your help...

Again... this won't ofcourse happen for a while since there isn't much to write about without being able to sit down and talk to him... because even after all he has been through... he is still one of the nicest people you will ever meet...

Thank you to anyone who took the time to read this and i hope with some i can get this going...

P.S.
Tonight i'll be wiping my slate clean
I''ll be clearing out those clouded memories
cause i don't to keep living in the past
and i can't stand how i always do that
tonight because you know i'm sick to death with every last regret and what i've said
and now all i really have left is my head
and its just a mess

Tonight i will dance on the graves of all my darkest days
and erase all the worries of all the time i wasted my scars may never go away
but i'll learn not to mind them along the way

tonight because you know i'm sick to death with every last regret and what i've said
and now all i really have left is my head
and its just a mess

Tonight i will dance on the graves of all my darkest days
and erase all the worries of all the time i wasted my scars may never go away
but i'll learn not to mind them along the way

right now i am giving the last rights to all my sleepless nights
right now i am starting clean and i am going on with my life
amen

Man, that sounds like it's be one helluva book. With some embellishment (or maybe just a name-change), a superior novel. How about a graphhic novel!? A comic about the real-life story of your dad!

Hey, we're gonna play out as soon as we find a drummer and a bass player who just want to back us up for the time being. We'll see.............
