things stuff. ugh.

This summer has been short and not very summery. a couple of days of heat wave do not a summer make. as they say. maybe they say that.
the last few months have been a frenzy of work. unfortunately not my work. Chris has been finishing his bachelors degree in philosophy, this being Poland there was a LOT of bureaucracy to deal with, a lot of extra work and a lot of extra money. But he has managed, he has written his thesis (in like a week!) and 'defended it', which is something that apparently only happens in Poland, so i'm told.

and now he's leaving.

for a year.
to do his masters at Edinburgh University.
and i am stuck, i think. here. i'm pretty sure i've mentioned it over the 6 years i've been on this site but i hate it here.

well.

because of all that extra work and rushing to finish, he didn't have much of a summer, and a lot of things had to be cancelled last minute. like boats.
so last minute that i still went on boats without Chris, just with the rest of the gang. These were actually pretty much the best boats.

it's a difficult time for me i guess.

also my summer job is ending next week leaving me.. unemployed?
