I have painted, off and on, my whole life, and am entirely self-taught. I began teaching myself digital painting 3 years ago, beginning with Corel Painter 12. This painting of the delicious Coeur de Pirate was my 3rd attempt. I pretty much loath Painter, now, and have done all my digital painting in gorgeous Photoshop CS5.1 since not long after doing this one.
