Tell me something-- why does a one way flight cost almost as much as a roundtrip one? I dislike airlines mightily right now. As it stands, I can almost rent a car for a month for the price that it is going to cost me to go home and other places in a couple weeks. So, is it worth adding an extra ten days to my travel schedule to have the zen experience of driving 2500 miles across the country and back? At the moment, it seems rather likely. I like driving. I like being alone and driving. Only time will tell.

Drive. I drove from Anchorage to Hampton, VA in 2001 and loved every minute of it. In fact, I'll be driving from KY back to Anchorage in January. That is going to rock.
