I had a silly field trip today. I think I may have made an ass of myself, but I'm not quite sure. One of my classmates had forgotten a utensil with which to consume his lasagna for lunch. Another classmate offered a spoon off which she had already eaten with the caveat, "Don't worry, I'm not contagious or anything."
Without thinking and with all the sarcasm I have, I said, "Yeah, the only thing contagious about me is my enthusiasm."
...And the professor was sitting right behind me. Doh!
Oh well, everyone else laughed. Otherwise the field trip was so uneventful. I mean, how many alluvial soils can one look at whilst exposed to direct sunlight without losing her mind?
