Went in for my yearly physical this morning. Evidently everything is in order. My Doc is gonna get me into a "smoking cessation" program. I quit for a long time but started again when the divorce started getting stressful (and no I don't smoke cigarettes. I smoke a pipe. How lame is THAT) We'll see if it helps because I really do need to quit.

I had a partner audition yesterday with a girl I had gone out with a couple of weeks ago. It was a pleasant date and I explained that I would probably be out of touch for the next week or so because I had my son. I had a message on my machine when I got home saying she had felt very uncomfortable. I apologized and tried to make her understand etc.. but jeez! What? Am I in high school again? That was a bit of a red flag to me on that one.

Looks like my ex and I will be signing the final papers on friday. I'm relieved and somewhat melancholy at the same time. 14 years is a lot of my life and I am somehow feeling like I got ripped off. Not financially ( I KNOW I'm getting ripped off there) but in terms of the years I will never get back. Granted I got the most amazing kid as a result but why couldn't she have had her revelation a few years ago.

Eh, spilled milk. I just need to quit wallowing in it and get over myself
