Well, my son broke a board! Six and a half and he punched right through it. I was very proud of him. The best part was just how excited and thrilled he was once he had done it. I actually got a good shot of it. Maybe I'll post it in my pics when I empty out the camera. When he was given his new belt (white with a black stripe running down the center. His next belt will be a grown up yellow belt) he was hugging it like a teddy bear. The ex was there too. It was actually a pleasant conversation. Her video cam wasn't working. I was good and didn't offer to help her figure it out. As a result though only a brief quicktime vid that I shot with my still cam.
Then my evening got fun. Well sort of. I drove down to Orange County. whitewidow was suposed to be getting in at 7:30. I figured I had timed it just right because she would have to get her bags and to the hotel from the airport. I got there about 9:00. No widow. She hadn't checked in yet. So I had a beer
(very unusual for me but they had Bass Ale.) and waited. Around 11:00 I was about to head out and was leaving a note at the front desk when in she walked. Two cancelled flights and she hadn't recieved the email with my phone number before she left.
Whitewidow was my very first SG friend. So it is apropriate that she was the first SG member I have actually met. She is adorable! She looks much younger in person than in her photos. We had a nice chat for about 50 minutes and then I drove home (only an hour to get back because traffic is light at 12:30 at night).
I'm actually going to be on my own this Saturday. The ex arranged for a sleepover for our son. So I will be able to go to Disneyland with the whole SG gang after all.
Oh and here is a "problems I wish I had" moment. I have three different bookings next week. They all want to record on Tuesday morning at 9:00 or 9:30. This is the sort of problem we voice over actors dream about having. It looks like my agent has worked out one of them and now I have two fighting over my Wednesday morning. Yaaay my agent!

I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you while I was in LA - I'm always in and out of ol' LA so perhaps when I'm home again.
